SAEKI Secures $6.7M to Revolutionize Large-Scale Manufacturing
SAEKI Closes a $6.7M Seed Round to Transform Large-Scale Manufacturing
Bridging the Gap Between Design and Manufacturing
As AI accelerates design capabilities, manufacturing must evolve to keep pace. SAEKI is addressing this challenge head-on, developing autonomous factories that integrate quoting, 3D printing, machining, and inspection into a seamless, fully automated process. With a $6.7M Seed round led by Lightbird and participation from Founderful, 2100VC, Danobat, and leading industry investors, SAEKI is poised to redefine industrial manufacturing.
Solving Critical Bottlenecks in Manufacturing
With global supply chains under strain, industries such as aerospace, automotive, and construction face long lead times and rising costs for large-format components. Today, manufacturers rely on fragmented supply chains and labor-intensive processes, limiting production speed and scalability. SAEKI’s hybrid manufacturing approach—combining large-scale additive manufacturing with precision CNC machining—addresses these challenges, offering faster production, greater cost efficiency, and automated quality assurance.
"There's an exponential and widening divide between what we can design and what we can actually build,” said Andrea Perissinotto, Co-Founder and CEO of SAEKI. "While engineers can now use AI to create hundreds of optimized designs, legacy manufacturing simply can't deliver these components cost-effectively. By automating the entire process, from quoting to final inspection, to make these advanced designs manufacturable at scale. Our mission at SAEKI is to make manufacturing faster, more efficient, and more reliable. By integrating additive manufacturing with CNC machining and quality assurance, we're giving industries the tools they need to innovate without constraints. This isn't just about making parts; it's about reshaping the way industries approach production. This is a defining moment for European manufacturing as we set out to build a future with fully autonomous factories".
Breakthrough Instant Quoting Platform
As part of its vision to simplify and accelerate procurement, SAEKI has launched a new instant quoting platform. This tool allows customers to upload designs, configure requirements, and receive immediate pricing for large-format 3D-printed and CNC-machined parts—eliminating traditional quoting delays and reducing procurement cycles from days to minutes.
Scaling Automation for Large-Format Manufacturing
SAEKI’s approach is deeply rooted in hands-on manufacturing experience. CEO Andrea Perissinotto’s journey began in his uncle’s workshop, where he observed how traditional production relied on highly skilled craftsmen with decades of experience—a process that is difficult to scale. “We saw an opportunity to integrate advanced manufacturing technologies to overcome these limitations and scale production efficiently,” said Andrea Perissinotto. “The existing processes demand decades of experience and are incredibly hard to scale. With AI and robotics, we’re now able to abstract and automate these skills”
Founded at ETH Zürich by Andrea Perissinotto (CEO), Oliver Harley (CTO), and Dr. Matthias Leschok (COO), SAEKI is bringing industrial-scale efficiency to large-format manufacturing. By integrating AI-driven automation, robotics, and precision engineering, the company is enabling manufacturers to reduce waste, shorten lead times, and reshore critical production capabilities.
Industry Demand for SAEKI’s Technology
The demand for SAEKI’s manufacturing capabilities is already evident. A leading Swiss construction group noted that Switzerland alone would need three to four SAEKIs to meet the demand for large-format formwork production. Meanwhile, a global automotive manufacturer using SAEKI’s 3D-printed composite tooling cut two weeks off its production schedule—delivering parts in just one week instead of six.
Investor Support and Industry Impact
“The company’s focus on large-format manufacturing is particularly timely, as sectors like aerospace and construction face increasing demand for complex, high-performance parts”, said Thomas Meier, Partner at Lightbird. “Global supply chains are under pressure, with rising costs and delays becoming the norm. We believe that SAEKI’s ability to deliver high-quality components quickly and reliably sets a new standard for the industry.”
The investment will accelerate SAEKI’s development of fully autonomous factories that integrate quoting, 3D printing, machining, and inspection into a single, seamless process. "We share SAEKI's vision of European dynamism and strengthening Switzerland's manufacturing position," said Alex Stöckl, Partner at Founderful. "Their interdisciplinary team has shown remarkable progress, demonstrating the potential to reshape industrial production.”
